Dr. Norman R. Messite graduated University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He served as Dentist, rising to the rank of Captain in the US Air Force. He then began a comprehensive externship on restorative and cosmetic dentistry working with the top dentists in the field. He partnered with a dental group with a focus on dental implants. In 1971, he founded Messite Dental. He is an active, Life Member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and First District Dental Association. Throughout his career, he lectured at the Dental Society and other venues with a focus on practices and advances in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He was joined by his son Dr. Todd P. Messite in 1997 to form a successful partnership between father and son.
Dr. Todd P. Messite graduated New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) in a double honors program in general dentistry and prosthetics. While in school, he received additional training at Manhattan VA hospital in New York, NY and the Jamaica Hospital Dental Center, Jamaica, Queens. After graduating he went into private practice by joining Messite Dental (1997-present) and specializes in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry. At the same time, he served as faculty member of NYUCD. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and First District Dental Association. He has frequently led outreach programs at area schools on early dental education and preventive care.
